This training is being offered by:
The Opioid Treatment Program Health Home Initiative with support from The Substance Use and Mental Health Leadership Council of RI
This one-day interactive workshop will provide participants with different models for integrating care-delivery. An emphasis on understanding how practitioner attitudes and beliefs about abstinence, self-help, and medication assisted treatment impact treatment effectiveness and client retention rates will be examined. The use of real world examples will augment a review of the core principles of client-centered and recovery-oriented care. Through a combination of self-reflection exercises and group discussions, workshop participants will increase their understanding of the relationship between the use of recovery-oriented language and the level of shame and stigma a client experiences when accessing treatment.
