Social Determinants of Infant Mental Health, Policy, and RI Programs

The RI Association for Infant Mental Health (RIAIMH) is conducting session 3 of its community conversation series on “Integrating Diversity-Informed Infant Mental Health Tenets Into Practice: Starting with Self-Awareness” (you do not need to have attended parts 1 and 2 to attend this third one).

Speaker: Ana Novais, MA Executive Director of Health, RI Department of Health

This session explores the intersection of public health policy, social determinants of health, and infant mental health.  We will consider social determinants of health as they apply to individuals as well as to groups of people.  We will look at the RI Department of Health policies and programs in support of health for all RI infants, toddlers, and their parents.  And we will consider workforce needs with respect to cultural competence.
