CHWs share their challenges in their own language\, listen compassionately\, and share resources. Quinten Foster\, MS (he/they)\, Director of Transgender Whole Healthcare at EBCAP will share practical techniques and strategies. The 1 hour presentation will be followed by a Q & A\, then 20 minutes of CHW networking.  Bring links to your resources!  \n\n\n\nFebruary 29th\, 202412pm-1:30pm\, via Zoom \n\n\n\n\nRegister\n\n\n\n\nSession Description: This session focuses on the practical application of self-care and burnout prevention strategies that may be supportive for CHWs. Attendees will learn about and practice various techniques they may choose to employ at work or at home\, such as mindfulness exercises\, cognitive re-framing\, and mind-body-spirit integration. \n\n\n\nSpeaker Bio: Quinten Foster\, MS (he/they) is the Director of Transgender Whole Healthcare at East Bay Community Action Program. They are a self-described “neurospicy” transmasculine person with personal and professional experience in the integrated healthcare and DEIB fields. They combine their lived experience and formal education in Health Psychology to create engaging\, meaningful learning experiences focused on the power of storytelling and human connection. Their favorite topics to facilitate include neuro-inclusive workspaces\, gender affirming practices\, and intersectional identity.
