The alcohol withdrawal syndrome will be reviewed in depth and appropriate treatment options during and after withdrawal. A generic outline of treatment objectives is followed by discussions of how this model will benefit working with persons with co-occurring medical disorders (chronic pain)\, co-occurring psychiatric disorders\, women who are pregnant\, adolescents and young adults\, and those with multiple substance use. Participants should have a working knowledge of Opioid Use Disorder and the three FDA-approved medications to assist persons in their recovery efforts.
