SUMMARY:Advanced Navegante Training
DESCRIPTION:Clinica Esperanza is currently accepting applications for our 10-week\, Advanced Navegante Training Program\, which is set to begin on 2/7/2022. Individuals accepted into the program will be trained as Community Health Workers and will have the opportunity to complete a Medical Interpreter course\, completely free of charge. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMore information can be found on the application linked here.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe course will include the following:\n1- Community Health Worker Training Certificate (Includes on-site or virtual meetings 2 evening per week for 10 weeks)\n2- Chronic Disease short course (Diabetes\, Hypertension\, Cardiovascular Disease)\n3- Case Management training\n4- Fist AID/CPR training\n5- Formal Medical Interpreter training course: ($650 value- this will be free of charge for Navegante training participants who qualify)\n6- Vida Sana training (Lifestyle change program for low Literacy Spanish -Speaking Adults): One Weekday Evening for 10 weeks.Medical Interpreter Training will be free for individuals who pledge to complete the Navegantes Program. There will be a limited amount of slots available for those who wish to enroll in the Medical Interpreter Course ONLY. Enrolling in the Medical Interpreter Course ONLY will also require cost of tuition.ANTP is set to begin on Monday 2/7/2022. CHW and Vida Sana classes will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays 5:30-8:30pm\, respectively. This 4-part webinar series will address these concerns by identifying barriers and by highlighting sustainable models that have reduced inequalities and improved health outcomes.
