SUMMARY:The End of the PHE: Medicaid Redetermination in RI
DESCRIPTION:The Office of Health and Human Services and the Department of Health are asking for your assistance in reaching community members on Medicaid\, so we can mitigate the number of people who could become uninsured this year. \n\n\n\nDuring the pandemic’s Public Health Emergency (PHE)\, anyone on Medicaid automatically had their benefits renewed and did not have to undergo their regular redetermination of eligibility. This process\, called “continuous enrollment”\, will now be ending March 31\, 2023 and Rhode Islanders will again need to begin recertifying for their benefits. You can learn more about this process here. Certain priority groups\, like children\, will remain enrolled in their coverage automatically. \n\n\n\nThe most important thing Medicaid enrollees can do right now is to update their contact information so that Rhode Island Medicaid can send the notices and information they need to keep or transition their health insurance. With more than 350\,000 distinct individuals enrolled in Medicaid in Rhode Island\, we hope that you can help us with this effort.  \n\n\n\nPlease join us for this multi-part series as we bring you information\, timelines\, data\, opportunities for engagement\, and a forum for questions. SUMMARY:Providing Services to Immigrant Workers and Refugees
DESCRIPTION:Immigrants and refugees are critical to filling the workforce pipeline that is necessary for employers to thrive. The Next Level Now Collaborative is excited to begin a conversation with workforce system entities\, community-based organizations\, one-stop staff and partners\, and workforce boards to build an understanding of how to create trust\, find tools for improving services and understand how to use refugee and immigrant assets to engage in meaningful and self-sustaining work.This webinar will begin a conversation about services for Immigrant Workers and Refugees which will extend into an invitation-only peer-to-peer discussion three weeks later. We will conduct a few polls asking members about the topics they would like to discuss further.The webinar will utilize an asset-based framework to address immigrant and refugee services while:- Presenting the benefits which immigrants and refugees bring to a local economy– Understanding the services that allow immigrants and refugees to lean into their strengths\, and– Working with workforce partners to leverage funding and resources– Finding ways to assist immigrants and refugees in better accessing resources and services that are culturally appropriateAttendees will come away with:– How to create a culture and approach that builds trust with immigrant workers and refugees– How to begin partnerships and leverage partnering programs and resources to improve services for both immigrant workers and refugees\n\n\n\n\nRegister

Its 12 modules are each aligned with a set of competencies defined by the Rhode Island Certification Board. Each module includes 2 hours of live zoom training plus 4 hours of training activities\, for a total of 72 training hours\, fulfilling the 70-hour requirement for RI CHW certification.
