SUMMARY:Effective Vaccine Advocacy ECHO
DESCRIPTION:Rates of routine childhood vaccinations have fallen.  \n\n\n\nHelp prevent outbreaks of life-threatening diseases like polio and measles in the U.S.  \n\n\n\nEffective Vaccine Advocacy: Protect your Community’s Health \n\n\n\nAn ECHO for CHW’s & EMS professionals \n\n\n\nTwo Sessions:  Tuesdays March 28 & April 4\, 9:00-10:00 am \n\n\n\nNationwide\, there has been a decrease in immunization rates among young children over the past few years\, with many children falling behind. This likely has several causes\, including barriers to medical care that were worsened during the pandemic\, the spread of mis- and disinformation\, and a loss of confidence in immunizations. Vaccines save lives\, and are critical to protect the health of our communities. Dips in rates of vaccination against serious childhood illnesses such as measles or polio risks resurgence of these diseases. \n\n\n\nThis two session ECHO series\, is being offered by Dartmouth Health\, in collaboration with NH DHHS\, to three different groups highly influential in communities: school personnel\, faith leaders\, and emergency medical and community health workers.  Each series will examine the importance\, safety and efficacy vaccines (including COVID-19 vaccine) in protecting health and it will arm attendees with effective approaches to help increase vaccine uptake in their communities. \n\n\n\nInvited Participants: Persons in a position to influence vaccine uptake in the community with a focus for: Emergency medical and community health workers. \n\n\n\nDetails in the attached and at Registration link:  https://connect.echodartmouth-hitchcock.org/Series/Registration/1580  \n\n\n\nFree of Charge \n\n\n\n—————————————————————————————————————————————————————- \n\n\n\nWhat is Project ECHO?Project ECHO® (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) transforms the way education and knowledge are delivered. This telementoring model uses video-conferencing technology to connect participants with subject matter experts. ECHO® sessions use case-based learning to provide education. Participants learn from experts\, participants learn from each other\, and experts learn from participants as best practice emerge. \n\n\n\nClick this link to watch a short video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Faz3O1clDMU [nam12.safelinks.protection.outlook.com] [nam12.safelinks.protection.outlook.com] \n\n\n\n—————————————————————————————————————————————————————- \n\n\n\nEmail: ECHO@hitchcock.orgWebsite: https://go.d-h.org/project-echo
