Its 12 modules are each aligned with a set of competencies defined by the Rhode Island Certification Board. Each module includes 3 hours of live zoom training plus 3 hours of training activities\, for a total of 72 training hours\, fulfilling the 70-hour requirement for RI CHW certification. Applicants must be fluent in English.  \n\n\n\nThis CHW Core Training will run over ZOOM on Tuesday evenings\, April 15th through July 1st\, 2025 from 6-9pm.  *Please note that this training has different weekly hours than our past core trainings. The training explores challenges faced by advocates\, including the ability to recognize vicarious trauma and signs of burnout and to identify three things they can do for self-care. This course meets in-person every Wednesday 6pm-9pm starting April 30 through June 11.
