DESCRIPTION:(See other dates here.) \n\n\n\nLearn How to Apply for Certification! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBegin preparing your CHW application\, including portfolio\, for submission to the RI Certification Board. \n\n\n\nIf you have already taken a Community Health Worker training and want guidance on applying for CHW certification in RI\, this workshop is for you! This free virtual workshop will give advice\, clarity and facts about preparing your portfolio. Please note: CHWARI does not provide the certification itself; that authority resides with the RI Certification Board. This conference has been funded by the CCR grant (Community Health Workers for COVID Response and Resilient Communities initiative\, a grant funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention). DESCRIPTION:(See other dates here.) \n\n\n\nLearn How to Apply for Certification! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBegin preparing your CHW application\, including portfolio\, for submission to the RI Certification Board. \n\n\n\nIf you have already taken a Community Health Worker training and want guidance on applying for CHW certification in RI\, this workshop is for you! This free virtual workshop will give advice\, clarity and facts about preparing your portfolio. Please note: CHWARI does not provide the certification itself; that authority resides with the RI Certification Board. SUMMARY:Trauma Informed Care (In-Person)
DESCRIPTION:Please join the Institute for Education in Healthcare on 5/9/25 from 9:00am – 12pm at Rhode Island College as we join with our colleagues from the Bradley Learning Exchange for this in-person training.  \n\n\n\nThis training explores the consequences that exposure to trauma and adverse childhood experiences have on the lives of individuals and families. The presentation focuses on identifying different types of trauma/adversities; understanding common reactions to trauma; learning about the impact of trauma on brain development; and the influence of culture on trauma. Helpful strategies to utilize when working with and interacting with individuals who have been impacted by trauma will be explored. Attention will also be given to the importance of self-care for professionals. \n\n\n\nThis class caps at 20 attendees though the form may accept more responses.   Room number\, parking pass and campus map will be emailed to the first registrants 2 business days prior to the event.  \n\n\n\nCertificates of completion will be provided to participants. \n\n\n\n\nRegister
