SUMMARY:Oral Health Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Offered by the New England Public Health Training Center \n\n\n\nAs a CHW\, what can you do to support the oral health of the individuals you serve? \n\n\n\nOral health is an essential part of overall health and wellbeing. Poor oral health has a negative impact on quality of life and is linked to chronic conditions\, including stroke\, heart and lung disease\, and diabetes. In addition\, poor oral health can be stigmatizing\, which negatively affects mental health and may contribute toward socioeconomic disparities. Community health workers are well poised to support oral health education and access to care in their roles. Join this webinar to learn about how CHWs can help improve the oral health of people they serve. \n\n\n\nAt the end of the webinar\, participants will be able to: \n\n\n\n\nDiscuss the relationship between oral health and overall health.\n\n\n\nList oral health resources available for individuals served by CHW in Vermont.\n\n\n\nExplore opportunities to integrate oral health care into CHW role.\n\n\n\n\nThis program is designated for Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES) and/or Master Certified Health Education Specialists (MCHES) to receive up to 1 total Category I continuing education contact hours. \n\n\n\n\nRegister Here

SUMMARY:RI COVID-19 Response Evaluation - The CHW Experience
DESCRIPTION:Join the Rhode Island Department of Health for a “hotwash” session\, aimed at collecting input on the CHW experience during the COVID-19 pandemic. The goal is to help us be better prepared for a future emergency. You are also welcome to forward to former team members that may have left your organization but hold important memories of our collective action to combat COVID-19 here in RI. The notes will be anonymized\, summarized\, and analyzed to create a report for RI leadership and the community. \n\n\n\n\nRegister Here\n\n\n\n\nIf you have trouble registering\, email Rein\, Blaise (RIDOH-Contractor) Blaise.Rein.CTR@health.ri.gov. \n\n\n\n\nZoom link

SUMMARY:CCR Evaluation Webinar: Leading With Community Voice
DESCRIPTION:Leading With Community Voice: Strengthening Evaluation through Mixed Methods Approaches\, Cultural Relevance\, and Grassroots Efforts with Youth \n\n\n\nLiderazgo mediante la opinión de la comunidad: mejora de la evaluación por medio de métodos mixtos\, adecuación cultural y medidas fundamentales con los jóvenes. \n\n\n\nOn behalf of the CCR-ETA 2110 Evaluation Training and Technical Assistance providers\, the Washington State Evaluation Partnership (WSEP) invites CCR-2109 recipients and their partners to a webinar about embedding community voice and cultural relevance in every step of evaluation. We will examine the grassroots multimedia campaign #KEEPITRIGHT\, a youth-led COVID-19 prevention effort that has reached over 250\,000 people with a click-through rate four times the national average. This webinar will build on the earlier training about equitable evaluation\, community engagement\, and health literacy efforts that include populations that have been historically marginalized. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\nregister now / regístrese ahora
