SUMMARY:OHIC Provider Staffing and Expense Survey Q & A Virtual Session
DESCRIPTION:Reserve your spot now! \n\n\n\nOHIC Provider Staffing and Expense Survey Q & A Virtual Session: \n\n\n\nA Platform for Statewide Rate Review of CHW Services \n\n\n\nVirtual Meeting: March 10\, 2025 \n\n\n\nfrom 3:30 pm to 4:00 pm \n\n\n\nhttps://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/BAE6OZWXRbiwczqV77t_0g \n\n\n\n In January\, many of you might have received the Provider Staffing and Expense Survey. This information collected in the survey will be used to support the Office of Health Insurance Commissioner (OHIC) Social and Human Service Programs Review and will help inform the Medicaid reimbursement rate recommendations included in this review.  \n\n\n\nTo assist you in completing the survey\, OHIC\, in collaboration with Milliman\, is inviting CHW providers to a question-and-answer session to respond to provider questions specific to completing the survey. In preparation for this meeting please review the following materials prior to joining the meeting:  \n\n\n\n\nThe “Instructions” worksheet in the Provider Staffing and Expense Survey. This serves as the first point of instructional content in completing the survey. \n\n\n\nPop-out boxes on input cells in the survey. The survey has more specific pop-up instruction boxes when you select various input and header cells within the survey that are included to clarify instructions for the specific cell in question. \n\n\n\nThe instructional video linked here: Rhode Island Staffing and Expense Survey Training [vimeo.com]. This video was prepared to illustrate how to navigate the survey and assist in completing the survey. \n\n\n\n\nPlease review these resources prior to joining the meeting and attend with any remaining questions. Also\, feel free to email questions to RI_OHIC_rate_program_review@milliman.com and they will respond as quickly as possible to your questions.

SUMMARY:Mental Health First Aid (In-Person)
DESCRIPTION:Please join the Institute for Education in Healthcare on 3/14/2025 from 8:00am – 4:00 pm on the RIC campus as we join with our colleagues from the Bradley Learning Exchange for this in-person training.  \n\n\n\nMental Health First Aid for Adults is an eight-hour course that gives people the skills to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. The evidence behind the program demonstrates that it does build mental health literacy\, helping the public identify\, understand\, and respond to signs of mental illness. Trainees are taught how to apply the five-step action plan in a variety of situations such as helping someone through a panic attack\, engaging with someone who may be suicidal\, or assisting an individual who has overdosed. An important component of the mental health first aid course is the opportunity to practice the intervention strategy rather than to just learn about it. This simple experience can make it easier to actually apply the knowledge in a real-life situation. \n\n\n\n Certificates of completion will be provided to participants after the training.  \n\n\n\n\nRegister
