Its 12 modules are each aligned with a set of competencies defined by the Rhode Island Certification Board. Each module includes 2 hours of live zoom training plus 4 hours of training activities\, for a total of 72 training hours\, fulfilling the 70-hour requirement for RI CHW certification. \n\n\n\nSee the Core Competencies of a Community Health Worker here. \n\n\n\nLearn about getting your Community Health Worker Certification here. \n\n\n\nThis “accelerated” training is comprised of two live Zoom classes per week and accompanying assignments per class (about 4 hours of homework in addition to the 4 hours of live Zoom class per week). This means trainees must have plenty of time to attend to the course\, either due to employer allowed time at work or an evening schedule with plenty of room in it.
