DESCRIPTION:Fridays: February 6th\, 13th\, 20th\, and 27th9:30am-3pmIn-Person @Rhode Island College \n\n\n\nBe ready when your dream job opens up!   \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDescription – We encourage CHWs and other direct service staff who are currently in the field or returning to the field\, and who want to build confidence at work\, strengthen professionalism\, support their well-being\, and grow in their careers\, to apply for this in-person Job Readiness Bootcamp. The training focuses on practical workplace skills\, self-care and wellness\, stress and time management\, professional boundaries\, and strategies to prevent burnout and support work-life balance. \n\n\n\nThis in-person\, 24-hour Job Readiness Training is funded by the Institute for Education in Healthcare at Rhode Island College. The training will take place on four Fridays—February 6th\, 13th\, 20th\, and 27th from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided on campus at Rhode Island College\, and attendance at all sessions is required to receive a certificate of completion.  \n\n\n\nThese hours ‘count’ towards CHW Certification and Recertification with the RICB! \n\n\n\nPlease register no later than January 30th\, 2026 at 5pm\, Link may close due to high demand!  \n\n\n\n\nRegister

DESCRIPTION:Learn How to Apply for Certification! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBegin preparing your CHW application\, including portfolio\, for submission to the RI Certification Board. \n\n\n\nIf you have already taken a Community Health Worker training and want guidance on applying for CHW certification in RI\, this workshop is for you! This free virtual workshop will give advice\, clarity and facts about preparing your portfolio. Please note: CHWARI does not provide the certification itself; that authority resides with the RI Certification Board. DESCRIPTION:This five-hour training (offered in English) is designed for direct care staff working with older adults and their caretakers. The training is designed to increase your knowledge and practice skills to support work with older adults. This training opportunity is designed for direct care staff who are working directly with older adults or in settings that serve older adults. \n\n\n\nThe training will be held on Saturday February 21st from 9am-2pm at RI College in Alger Hall\, Room 107.  \n\n\n\nMorning refreshments and lunch will be provided.  \n\n\n\nPlease Register BY 2/13 @ 9pm – space is limited. \n\n\n\nLearning Objectives \n\n\n\n\nReinforce awareness of Dementia and the diseases that cause it.\n\n\n\nStrengthen understanding of Person-Centered Care (PCC) as a best practice approach when working with people living with Dementia and their care partners.\n\n\n\nUse vignettes to develop critical thinking skills related to navigating the care continuum through the stages of dementia. \n\n\n\n\nQuestions- contact Tonya Glantz tglantz@ric.edu. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\nRegister
