Job Description

East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is seeking one full-time and two part-time Family Advocates for our Senior Services Department located at 100 Bullocks Point Avenue in East Providence, RI.  We are seeking a motivated individual who is committed to enabling elders to live independently and comfortably in the community. We offer flexible hours, day/evening/weekend hours are available.

The successful candidate will conduct home visits and provide case management in Barrington, Bristol, Central Falls, East Providence, Pawtucket, and Warren, RI.  The Family Advocate will engage elders and family members in community-based planning and activate wrap-around services to enrich the lives of elders, and to support the goal for elders to live safely in the community.  All services and documentation are conducted in compliance with several state agencies and delivered in a respectful, responsive, comprehensive, individualized, and culturally competent manner adhering to EBCAP’s Family Development philosophy.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a Social Services field with previous experience preferred. The ideal candidate must have knowledge of community resources, and enjoy working with elders and families. Bilingual Portuguese and/or Creole) a plus, however, not required.
