DESCRIPTION:Rhode Island Independent Community Health Works (RIICHW) is the BIPOC-led hub funded in partnership with RIDOH\, existing to support Independent CHWs with innovative tools that help them launch\, bill compliantly\, and sustain long-term business practices. \n\n\n\nIn response to demand\, RIICHW will be offering a six hour CHW Medicaid Billing Training on 11/20.  The billing practices that will be provided in this training have been tested by RIICHW and should reflect the current best practices.    \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis training is intended for Independent CHWs. Self-care: Practice self-care in the face of structural challenges \n\n\n\nIdentify steps needed for self-care amidst the challenges that we face as CHWs. Find peace and balance through community grounding and protective practices. Address trauma using effective resources and principles that you can apply to your role as a community health worker. \n\n\n\n2. The CHW Profession: Amplify the value of the CHW Role \n\n\n\nDevelop your confidence and storytelling skills to amplify the value of the community health worker role. Discover how to recognize and leverage existing community resources to strengthen your impact and effectiveness. \n\n\n\n3. Resources: Collaborate to realize community resources more fully \n\n\n\nExplore the practice of authentic collaboration to ensure consistent access to essential community resources.
