Dementia Training (English)
February 21, 2026 : 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
This five-hour training (offered in English) is designed for direct care staff working with older adults and their caretakers. The training is designed to increase your knowledge and practice skills to support work with older adults. This training opportunity is designed for direct care staff who are working directly with older adults or in settings that serve older adults.
The training will be held on Saturday February 21st from 9am-2pm at RI College in Alger Hall, Room 107.
Morning refreshments and lunch will be provided.
Please Register BY 2/13 @ 9pm – space is limited.
Learning Objectives
- Reinforce awareness of Dementia and the diseases that cause it.
- Strengthen understanding of Person-Centered Care (PCC) as a best practice approach when working with people living with Dementia and their care partners.
- Use vignettes to develop critical thinking skills related to navigating the care continuum through the stages of dementia.
