CHWARI-Sponsored Ethics Training 6/10!
Over the years CHWARI members have expressed that it is difficult to find the appropriate and affordable ethics training necessary to meet the RICB requirement for CHW recertification. In response to that demand, CHWARI is thrilled to be sponsoring our first Ethics training, FREE for our members.

Ethics in Action™: Transform. Empower. Lead.
June 10th | 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
In-person at Rhode Island College
Ethics matter — and the impact of Community Health Workers matters even more.

Ethics in Action™ is a transformational professional development experience created by RI Independent Community Health Works (RIICHW™) and facilitated by founder and CEO Koren Carbuccia. Designed specifically for Community Health Workers and frontline professionals, this immersive in-person training strengthens ethical leadership, communication, professional boundaries, advocacy, and real-world decision-making skills essential to today’s evolving healthcare and community landscape.
Grounded in trauma-informed practice, cultural humility, and healthcare-aligned workforce development, participants will engage in dynamic Rhode Island-based case studies, reflective discussion, leadership exercises, and practical strategies that can be immediately applied within both healthcare and community settings.
This is more than an ethics training — it is an opportunity to elevate the work, strengthen leadership capacity, and empower CHWs with the confidence, tools, and professional insight needed to create lasting impact in the communities they serve.
Spots are limited to 30 CHWs. Please apply as soon as possible. Priority will be given to CHWARI CHW members needing ethics hours for re-certification. If interest continues, we hope to support additional trainings in the future. Please reach out to David Zuleta dzuleta@ric.edu or Anna Nerbonne anerbonne@ric.edu with questions.
