This training provides an overview of the multi-disciplinary definitions and perspectives of the process of Clinical Supervision. It draws from the literature and best practices of social work, nursing, and psychology models. It includes the roles of the Clinical Supervisor, core principles and types of supervision. Session will discuss the differences between supervision, therapy and administrative oversight. Practical matters such as time management, schedules and ‘find the time’ are covered. Ethical and legal issues are included. Lastly, recommendations on documentation practices are provided.
Continuing Education Credits:
Social Worker CEUs: This training has been approved by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) for 6.0 continuing education credits.
Chemical Dependency Professionals CEUs: This training has been approved by the RI Certification Board for 2.0 continuing education credits (The RICB is an IC&RC affiliate).
Please Note: A pre-test is required to be taken before the training. In order to receive a training certificate, each participant must complete a post-test, and training evaluation within ten (10) days of completing the training.
