Trauma & Substance Use in Families

The Substance Use and Mental Health Leadership Council of RI in collaboration with the Rhode Island Coalition for Children and Families
This training will examine the co-occurrence of trauma and substance use, and review the negative effects of both on family systems. The course will explore how substance use and trauma related issues are impacting the child welfare system, and address the frequency of trauma, as well as the short and long term effects of trauma.
Continuing Education Credits:
Social Worker CEUs: Determination of 3.0 National Association of Social Workers credits are pending.
Certified Peer Recovery Specialist CEUs:This training has been approved by the RI Certification Board for 3.0 continuing education credits (The RICB is an IC&RC affiliate).
Chemical Dependency Professionals CEUs: This training has been approved by the RI Certification Board for 3.0 continuing education credits (The RICB is an IC&RC affiliate).
Please Note: A pre-test is required to be taken before the training. In order to receive a training certificate, each participant must complete a post-test, and training evaluation within ten (10) days of completing the training.
