Overview
This webinar will discuss efforts to improve the quality of care for racial and ethnic minority women as it
relates to maternal health.
At the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:
Discuss the National Standards for Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (National CLAS
Standards) as a critical element in improving the quality of care for racial and ethnic minority women.
Describe health disparities and inequities related to the maternal health care of racial and ethnic
minority women.
Identify maternal health resources to improve the quality of care for racial and ethnic minority women,
such as the Office of Minority Health Maternal Health Care Course.
Audience
Health and social services providers, lactation consultants, oral health providers, public health
professionals, early childhood education programs, program and policy staff, community and faith-based
organizations along with stakeholders addressing women and girls’ health issues
