Join Lifespan Community Health Ambassadors for this presentation which will provide information pertinent to keeping children and loved ones safe while utilizing online platforms. It will highlight how youth interfaces with today’s ever-changing technology as it relates to social media, gaming technology and internet browsing. You will also learn about potential exploitation that youth may encounter on the web and gain insight on how parents and caregivers can positively address these risks with youth in their lives.
Objectives:
- Gain knowledge about online safety and the effects of online exploitation
- Discuss preventive measures around online usage and how to recognize potential warning signs
- Receive information on how to handle disclosures and RI mandatory reporting laws
