Get the training you need to apply for CHW Certification!

The FREE Community Health Worker Core Competency Training is intended to prepare participants for entry-level CHW positions in community-based social service, healthcare and behavioral health settings. Its 12 modules are each aligned with a set of competencies defined by the Rhode Island Certification Board. Each module includes 2 hours of live zoom training plus 4 hours of training activities, for a total of 72 training hours, fulfilling the 70-hour requirement for RI CHW certification. Applicants must be fluent in English.

Classes are Fridays 9:30am to 11:30am
