Crisis Response Training

The Substance Use and Mental Health Leadership Council of RI
This training will focus on the impact of alcohol on the entire system including neuro-biological change as well as medical complications from continued alcohol use. The participants will be able to identify symptoms of alcohol intoxication and impairment and alcohol overdose and identify steps to assist in rescue. The alcohol withdrawal syndrome will be reviewed in depth and appropriate treatment options during and after withdrawal. Medications to treat withdrawal will be review as well as medication to assist in early recovery.
Continuing Education Credits:
Nursing CEUs: This activity has been approved by the Northeast Multi-State Division to award 6.0 contact hours.
The Northeast Multi-State Division is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont Nurses Association are members of the Northeast Multi-State Division of the American Nurses Association.
Social Worker CEUs: This training has been approved by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) for 6.0 continuing education credits.
Chemical Dependency Professionals CEUs: This training has been approved by the RI Certification Board for 6.0 continuing education credits (The RICB is an IC&RC affiliate).

In order to receive a training certificate, each participant must complete a post-test, and training evaluation within ten (10) days of completing the training.
