October 15-24, 2024
The Mission of the RI Center for Emergency Preparedness and Response is to create and promote a state of readiness and prompt response to protect the health of Rhode Islanders during catastrophic events, large-scale disasters, and other types of emergencies. This free, eight hour training will use their resources to inform CHWs on how their clients and organizations should prepare for emergencies.
Learning objectives:
- Module 1: Intro to Public Health & Emergency Management
- Module 2: Personal Preparedness
- Module 3: Emergency Response
- Module 4: Recovery
This course is virtual. Attendance is required at all four sessions to get an eight hour certificate of completion which can be used towards recertification.
