Leadership for the Future CHW Networking Gathering

Are you interested in building a powerful and diverse network?

Would you like to learn about an intensive leadership program for diverse leaders from community groups and labor unions?

Join your fellow CHWs at a networking gathering to learn about the “Leadership for the Future” program. Haley De La Rosa, Workforce Development Labor Liasion at the RI Institute for Labor Studies and Research will present.

Leadership for the Future is an intensive leadership development program that gathers diverse leaders from community groups, labor unions, and religious communities to forge relationships and networks that will forever benefit them, their organizations, and their communities. It generates a powerful, committed, and diverse network of graduates that learn from each other and take action together to achieve the shared goals of economic and social justice for ALL Rhode Islanders. Participants examine the process and impact of social influence and leadership on the many issues facing Rhode Islanders today.

  • Community Action Projects
  • Application Process (their application opens in the fall)

About the Presenter

Haley De La Rosa is the Workforce Development Labor Liaison at Rhode Island’s premier worker center, the Institute for Labor Studies and Research (ILSR). Originally from the Lower Rio Grande Valley in Texas, Haley moved to Rhode Island in 2013 with a vision to expand opportunities for multilingual learners in the workforce and create new pathways to family sustaining jobs for recent immigrants and historically underrepresented groups. She is a Commissioner on the Rhode Island Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. State Holiday Commission, Secretary for the Coalition for Labor Union Women Rhode Island chapter, and a board member of the Rhode Island Committee on Occupational Safety & Health.
