MENTAL HEALTH NEEDS IN CHILDREN & ADOLESCENTS: SCREENING AND TREATMENT
This training is being offered by:
The Substance Use and Mental Health Leadership Council of RI in collaboration with the Rhode Island Coalition for Children and Families
This half-day workshop will review screening tools which assess the mental health and substance use treatment needs of youth. Participants will be exposed to a variety of measures, including structured interviews, and will review diagnostic symptoms and psychiatric diagnosis that are relevant to youth. Additionally, the workshop will focus on some of the evidence based treatments available for youth, and families, related to these needs.
Continuing Education Credits:
Social Worker CEUs: Determination of 3.0 National Association of Social Workers credits are pending.
Chemical Dependency Professionals CEUs: This training has been approved by the RI Certification Board for 3.0 continuing education credits (The RICB is an IC&RC affiliate).
Mental Health Counselors CEUs: Determination of 3.0 RI Mental Health Counselors Association are pending.

In order to receive a training certificate, each participant must complete a post-test, and training evaluation within ten (10) days of completing the training.
