Providing Services to Immigrant Workers and Refugees

| Immigrants and refugees are critical to filling the workforce pipeline that is necessary for employers to thrive. The Next Level Now Collaborative is excited to begin a conversation with workforce system entities, community-based organizations, one-stop staff and partners, and workforce boards to build an understanding of how to create trust, find tools for improving services and understand how to use refugee and immigrant assets to engage in meaningful and self-sustaining work. |
| This webinar will begin a conversation about services for Immigrant Workers and Refugees which will extend into an invitation-only peer-to-peer discussion three weeks later. We will conduct a few polls asking members about the topics they would like to discuss further.The webinar will utilize an asset-based framework to address immigrant and refugee services while:- Presenting the benefits which immigrants and refugees bring to a local economy – Understanding the services that allow immigrants and refugees to lean into their strengths, and – Working with workforce partners to leverage funding and resources – Finding ways to assist immigrants and refugees in better accessing resources and services that are culturally appropriateAttendees will come away with: – How to create a culture and approach that builds trust with immigrant workers and refugees – How to begin partnerships and leverage partnering programs and resources to improve services for both immigrant workers and refugees |
