This position is eligible for American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds which includes a one-time $750 sign-on bonus payable after the completion of 90 days of employment as well as a monthly stipend of up to $694.50 which is based upon the hours worked in the previous month for as long as the funds are guaranteed by the State.

What You’ll be Doing
The Peer Support Specialist in our Family Centered Treatment program will provide support to the staff and families in the program such as practicing skills implemented by practitioners with families, supporting recovery efforts and some administrative duties such as answering phone calls and taking messages, managing email communications and community outreach efforts.

Your Main Priorities
•    Writes contact notes and uploads/transfers to appropriate Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. 
•    Uploads assessments and data to appropriate systems (YOQ, TOQ-SR, OQ). 
•    Supports in-between session learning by practicing skills with clients and families. 
•    Provides community support; identifies and attends community events.
•    Provides progress updates to referral sources and maintains relationships with other agencies. 
•    Attends the required meetings to discuss cases, openings, opportunities, etc. 
•    Acts as an additional resource for Practitioners to support youth and family engagement; attend intakes and sessions as needed for support. 
•    Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
•    High school diploma or equivalent required. 
•    2+ years of experience related to the role required. 
•    Peer Support Specialist Certification a plus. 
•    Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred. 
•    Strong organizational and time-management skills.
•    Basic computer skills required; knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
•    Must have a valid driver’s license, auto liability insurance, and reliable transportation.
•    Must be able to authorize Child & Family to complete Motor Vehicle Record check.
•    Ability to communicate and effectively interact with a diverse population. 
•    The ideal candidate will be required to meet all pre-employment requirements such as background checks and medical clearances.

Travel Requirements
Site location: Providence, RI
Local travel is required.
