CHW Core Competency Training

The FREE Community Health Worker Core Competency training includes 12 modules, each aligned with a set of competencies defined by the Rhode Island Certification Board. This training is a generalist model intended to prepare participants for entry-level CHW positions in community-based social service, healthcare and behavioral health settings. Each module includes 2 hours of synchronous zoom training plus 4 hours of asynchronous training activities, for a total of 72 training hours, fulfilling the 70-hour requirement for RI CHW certification.
