Are you hoping to impact your community more effectively?
If so, this course, “CHWs and Data,” is for you!
Data helps us make decisions in everyday life, and it also informs decision-making in public health. In this course, you’ll discover how understanding public health data and its features can help you gain insights, communicate health information, and effectively advocate for your community.
Learning Objectives
- Define basic concepts involved in data analytics and types of data used in Public Health.
- Discuss sources of trustable data.
- Comprehend the role of data in Public Health to advocate for Policy change.
- Outline the role of data in addressing Health Equity obstacles and advocating for social justice in marginalized communities.
- Describe the CHW’s role in Data collection/Interpretation and Community Education.
- Explain the use of data in understanding Social Determinants of Health.
- Discuss the advantage of using data in designing community education and defining dissemination approaches.
This course will be a total of 6 continuing education hours.
